New York Stankees are overrated

Breaking news out of The Pros, From a Female's Perspective. The New York Yankees are kind of, sorta', maybe overrated. I don't hate the New York Yankees. I just despise them. So, if you are a hardcore Yankee fan, then you might as well turn the page right now because I'm about to set it off up in here.

I was blessed with the gift of cable, but all I'm getting is Alex Rodrigues' purple lips and the NY Yanks. As one sportswriter once very nicely put it, with my own twist of course; I wish A-Rod, the Yanks, and his 'Bleep Off' shirted ex-wife, Madonna and friends would just make like Tom Hanks in that movie ''Castaway'' and blow away already...

Why the Yankees pay A-Rod way over a million plus to keep him is beyond me. I can think of so many other big players that I would have brought in with that kind of money in place of No-Ring Rodriguez. I'd introduce a fresh, more prestegious, unpredictable Yankee team in hopes of going farther than a 1st round playoff birth every year, or ALDS every now and then, which, the pinstripes usual don't do in the first place. Tsk tsk? Shoulda', woulda', coulda'... didn't.

The Yankees are like caricatures of a lot of what's wrong with the MLB today. Mo' money no problems, right? Typical Yankee behavior...

Problem #1: I like to watch New York pitch for craps and giggles. That's not even supposed to be funny.

“Wickedly-Bad Pitchingitis” is a fatal illness that has been spreading throughout the Yankee clubhouse for years. It's so bad that it hurts. Ask A-Rod, and half of the Yankee roster how they've felt these past years. I'm not making fun; I'm just raising awareness.

Problem #2: A while ago the Red Sox needed a pitcher so they went out and cashed in for Dice-K. They needed an outfielder so they cashed in for Jason Bay. The Yanks needed a bullpen so they went out and cashed in for several all-star batters.

Not that I actually want to look like that but If I were a Steinbrenner, I'd have a choice to kick No-Ring Rodriguez to the curb or keep him lounging around here. Alright No-Ring, I'll see you around...

Problem #3: Every year, he's got potential for another 24-error season, and I'm not trying to lead the league in errors either... 24 errors in '06. Ouch. Some people can't even count that high.

I wouldn't mind facing No-Ring in a crucial post season game. He's had zero RBI's in 12 straight post season performances in the past and has had Madonna on the mind; what could go wrong? I'm ditching the name “Error” Rodriguez; can I call you Mr. Clutch instead? It's like he gets batters box fright in the post season and that just doesn't help the team.

It's no wonder that they say A-Rod will never be a true, dedicated and respected Yankee member. He's too busy fooling around with pop stars, actresses, models and strippers; he'll never be liked like Derek Jeter is...who also fools around with pop stars, actresses, models and strippers...

I'm not arguing the fact that A-Rod is a great player. He has won everything from Golden Glove Awards, to MVP and All-Star Awards, yada yada and the whole bit. But, forget all of the Pennants, and Division Titles New York has grabbed with him, which had the help of steroids; winning a ring was always the goal. Which they've lacked since..you know, Mr. Clutch happened...

Problem #...oh heck, who's counting anymore..: His pockets are too big and they're crowding my space. He's getting payed while I'm getting played. It's '09 and I'm like, jeez, let go of my leg already; it's starting to cramp up. Find another stadium who will boo you even louder than NY ever did. I'll even help you because I'm a nice person.

They look at Boston and say 1918? Ooooh, nice one, guys. I'll say 2000. I can play that game too. And..that's not hot, so...lets stop preaching like they are. If that's hot, they must've changed the definition and never told me. In fact, I never want to be called hot again for the rest of my life. Now that I think about it, I am very offended.

Speaking of lame; a man by the name of Salvatore Leo from NY once said in an article, “Blah blah, I hate the Red Sox-the curse! Blah blah, I look like an idiot blah blah blah...”

What do I give a care about what happened 86 years ago? I don't, that's not even relevant anymore. So, let's kill that 'curse'/86 years ago!' nonsense already. Not even my 70-something year-old grandma gives a care about that anymore...

A-Rod, we're still trying to find that cousin of yours...
